Fougère Dusk

An enigmatic, sultry, provocative and contemporary fougère.

Aotearoa. Deep in the bush. I remember walking through the ferns in Aotearoa with my grandfather. Kauri giants that had stood here for millennia ascended around us. Everything felt ancient, and our moment within it impossibly small. I remember how powerful he felt as a force. So much strength, yet enveloped in softness. There was a groundedness to him, an unwavering conviction — but the type you could only inherit, not create. The silent power that anchored me to the earth beneath us as the resin formed a rich, deep cushion underfoot.

When we created Fougère Dusk, we wanted to capture that kind of character — unwavering strength, stillness, depth that transcends time but is always of the present as well as the past. On the top, the aromatic brightness of grapefruit, lavender, and zesty lime hypnotically combine. An intriguing blend of orange blossom, powdery orris, and violet sit at the heart. Then a wonderfully rich base of warm amber, sandalwood, and tonka bean gives history to the fragrance and holds the sensuality close to the skin. Fougère Dusk is almost ancestral. A golden thread of strength that runs through all of us, waiting to be remembered.
